History

Greg Peters and his wife, Denise, moved to Palm Coast in 1997 and the church was started in the hotel ballroom of the then Harborside Inn. The church started as a nine week Thursday night Bible study in August of '97.  In October, the Bible study group then began meeting for Sunday morning worship services.  After just a few months of meeting at the Harborside Inn, the facility was no longer adequate to meet the needs of this new and slowly growing congregation.  In February of '98 the young congregation moved to the Picture Show III movie theater.  For approximately 5 ½ years Parkview met at the movie theater.  Those years were exciting, challenging, scary, visionary, enjoyable and filled with living by faith. The church purchased 7 ½ acres on Belle Terre Pkwy in 1998 but were not prepared to build until 2003.  We moved on to our campus in the Fall of 2003 and since that time Parkview has seen incredible growth in so many ways.  In the last couple of years we have witnessed the strengthening and incredible growth of our children's ministry and youth ministry, and our worship continues to draw us to greater levels of praise. The Lord has thrown countless blessings our way, and we are so grateful for what we know still lies ahead.
